Born 1721 in Venice, died there in 1757. He was enrolled in the fraternity of Venetian painters from 1750 to 1756. An art collector, Pierre-Jean Mariette (Paris 1694–1744) called him “the second Marieschi”. In 1744 Albotto married Marieschi’s widow Angela Fontana and continued his teacher’s work. He painted Venetian vedutas and capriccios.
