Born 1649 in Antwerp, died there in 1700. In 1664 and 1665 he was a pupil of Peter van Lint. In the years 1683 and 1684 he was chosen as head of the Corporation (Guild) of Saint Luke. He painted mainly religious pictures, a large number of which have survived in various Belgian cities.
