The Brumen Foundation, named after a pioneer and one of the most visible representatives of graphic design in Slovenia, Jože Brumen, sees its mission in promoting the young profession (in practice as well as theory) and establishing criteria of excellence which will serve as guidelines and help to designers as well as clients and users in a general sense.
The work of the Foundation centres on the Biennial of Slovenian Visual Communication (Bienale vidnih sporočil Slovenije in Slovene, bvss for short) – a biennial review of visual communication in Slovenia.
The members of this year’s committee that granted the highest professional awards in Slovenia – the Brumen Award – at the opening of the exhibition on 23 October are:
- Pierre Bernard (F)
- William Drenttel (USA)
- Jessica Helfand (USA)
- Cyprian Koscielniak (Nl/P)

The exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue (25 €). Entrance fee: 5 €.
