Youth,
Student Works

The exhibition presents racism as seen by the young (students) from different European countries. There will be 125 posters on view, designed by 111 designers from four academies: the Dutch Hanzehogeschool Groningen – Academie Minerva, the Polish Akademie Sztuk Pięknych in Warsaw, the French Ecole d' art Maryse Eloy in Paris, and the Ljubljana Academy of Fine Arts and Design. The students designed their posters under the guidance of mentors Justyna Czerniakowska, Radovan Jenko, Cyprian Kościelniak, Lech Majewski, Ranko Novak, Thierry Sarfis and Mieczysław Wasilewski.

Masterpieces

The exhibition features works by internationally recognised designers who responded to the invitation to contribute posters on the theme of racism. There will be 101 posters by 89 designers from 29 countries. Many of the desgners have received several international awards and recognitions, are regularly invited to major poster exhibitions, biennials, triennials and festivals, and are featured in significant monographs and surveys of poster design.

Kids

Between February and May 2011, Amnesty International Slovenia held a poster competition entitled Creatively Fighting Against Racism for primary and secondary schools. The competition gave young people the opportunity to use their creativity to make a stand against racial discrimination. 269 students from 17 Slovenian schools took part in the competition. The Kids exhibition includes 22 of the most original posters created by 36 participants.
