Please
be informed that from 7 January to 6 February 2025 a part of our Permanent
Collection featuring artworks from the 19th and 20th centuries will be closed.
These renowned artworks, including paintings by Ivana Kobilca, Slovenian
Impressionists, Janez and Jurij Šubic, as well as pieces from the Biedermeier
period, will be on display at the Belvedere Museum in Vienna as part of the
exhibition The World in Colours. Slovenian Painting 1848–1918, which
will be open from 30 January to 26 May 2025.
From 7 February 2025 onwards, a revised overview of the Permanent Collection will be
open in the New Wing of the National Gallery fo Slovenia.
Due
to the installation of our new exhibition, Baroque in Slovenia, the
Permanent Collection on the upper floor of the Narodni dom, showcasing artworks
from the Baroque to the Biedermeier periods, will be closed from 16 February
onwards. The exhibition Baroque in Slovenia will be on display from 10
April to 9 November 2025.
In
January, we invite you to explore the part of the Permanent Collection
featuring artworks from the High Middle Ages to the Baroque period, the
permanent exhibition dedicated to Zoran Mušič, and the temporary exhibition Old Masters from the Collections of the Museum of Arts and Crafts, Zagreb.
